Yes your crank sensor tells your computer when to fire the injectors and the spark plugs so, if you have no crank sensor, you have no start. It could prevent your car from starting depending on the conditions when the security system was activated. Has anyone kicked the rear of your car lately? Or have you been in a fender bender? Those 2 things could trip the inertia switch in the fuel pump which could also cause your car to not start like that.

Need a fix for no injector pulse, cam signal, and no start

Have you checked to make sure the security system isn't preventing it from starting?

If not, the cam and crank sensor needs to correlate in order to have injector pulse and spark, so I would start by probing the cam sensor to check for AC current while cranking if there is current ohm the wires to the ecm, if the ohm reading is less than 1 ohm it sounds like a computer problem

No, the car should start even with a bad oxygen sensor.

Wont start when wet

Most likely one of the wirering harness plugs leading to the crank position sensor or the cam position sensor is getting moister in it.
These sencors are very small pulse generators, and if they get wet will prevent the pulse from being strong enough for the computor to read and prevent the ignition module from firing the plugs and also will prevent the fuel injectors from pulsing.

98 Pontiac Bonneville stalls intermitanly & won't restart....

The key trick involves the security system. If the chip in the key fails, the security system will prevent the engine from starting.
Have you tried a different key ?

Car wont start

You need to know if the fuel pump is working.TURN KEY ON,BUT DON,T CRANK engine, Listen for the pump to kick on(should hear it.)IF the check engine light is on,have it scanned. A bad crank or cam sensor could prevent starting.IT could be anything from bad plugs, wires, out of gas, or bad sensors.

Why can't I get spart. Don't have injector pulse.

Loss of injection pulses usually means a loss of an engine timing signal or even the security pack preventing the vehicle from starting.
You need to check all the timing signals, crank angle sensors, cam angle sensors etc and ensure that any security is disabled or turned off.
Check for spark, if you have spark but not injection pulses, then its a timing signal issue. If you dont have spark or injection pulses, also check the ECU (the cars computer) although I do not know of any issues with this make and model.

Not cranking everytime bout 10 times.then will then not crank.will a vacume line stop it from cranking?

no, this symptom is usually caused by a dead spot on the starter commutator. If it happens again, try smacking the starter with a hammer. If this works, you can just keep a hammer handy or replace the starter. Let me know if you have more questions.

Car no start new fuel pump

You need to get any codes stored before any work is started. This will help prevent throwing parts at it when unneeded. . No injector pulse usually indicates a bad crank sensor or a failed fuse or PCM. This is providing you don't have a security lockout.

If you have a security issue a code should be stored for it. This would of told you what system is the problem. Not all code readers will pick up security codes so don't rely on your autoparts code reader to be accurate.
