Question about 1999 Volvo V70

99 volvo v70 02 sensor....

I recently replaced the 02 sensor on a 99 volvo v70...which was the reason for the engine light being on. I was wondering if you knew how many miles it must be driven before the engine light will reset itself and it can be reinspected???

Either get a OBD2 electronic reader and clear codes or try disconnecting battery for five minutes to reset. Good luck.

Hi, I have a 1999 Volvo S80 2.4 auto. Recently the temperature gauge on the car either has not moved to the halfway mark (it only moves a couple of bars) and will stay there or it will, after a short

Typically a thermostat stuck open will cause the gauge not to move because the water/engine will not heat up. If you havent already, I Suggest you see if the local Advanced auto, dealer or someone who can read the engine temperature with an infrared thermostat so you can see if the problem is the guage/sending unit and also read the fault codes if you have check engine lights of any kind on your dash. With these codes I will be able to tell you exactly what needs to be fixed/replaced. Could be an ECU, sensor, relay, fuse, bad ground etc. My name is Tim, I work for a company called AutoEcu1 we see all kinds of different ecu ecm tcu tcu abs ebcm throttle body climate control etc etc etc from any given vehicle about 1986 up 2011 or newer. I am more then happy to help you resolve this quickly and correctly feel free to post here or call when you get the codes or if you have questions.

MAF Sensor Screws

Bosch MAF sensor? The two screws that hold the sensor in to the tube? These screws, if missing, will not allow unmetered air into the engine, so will not be the reason your light is coming on. What is making you think your light coming on has something to do with your missing screw? Do you have a fault code, or codes? If so, what do you have?

My 99 volvo s80 has a p1132 code. I have replaced the mas sensor and 1 upstream and 1 downstream o2 sensor and the light came back on. What to do?

Some computers have to be reset more than once for some reason and most of the scanners are equipped with this function.

The check engine light is flashing volvo s 80 1999

On any vehicle, if check engine light is on it truly hard to say or diagnose even with a highly trained technicians/mechanics. it can be numerous of things, from O2 sensors, throttle sensors, air mass sensors etc. its best to take it to a volvo dealer and get it plug in to diagnostic machine so it would spit out the code, other wise you will be banging your head fixing and replacing the wrong parts and can cause you hunderds of dollars, trust me, I done this for a long time, don't want you to go through the same mistake. I don't trust autozone computer diagnostic, spend 35-40 bucks on the right machine to get a right code; this way you know what you dealing with.

I got code 116 on my 1998 volvo s 90 and my engine light is on

I do believe this is the ECT sensor code. This sensor for some reason only on the 960/S90 causes the car not to start. You will need to replace this ECT (engine coolant temperature sensor). On this model I think it is on the back of the head, a gray D shaped 2 wire connector against the firewall. If that is not case, then your sensor is located at the engine side of the upper radiator hose.

Check Engine light

The easy fix? OK--here it is---remove positive battery cable--step on brake for 10 seconds, reconnect cable.

If it resets, get a code reader to see what the malfunction is. Remember---Volvo's remind you of oil change intervals by displaying that wonderful light!

BTW--at 123000 miles I would suspect the oxygen sensor is in dire need of replacement. Replace with Bosch only!
