Check engine soon light came on had it checked out it said first gear ratio in transmission how do u fix this

In the programming module but you have to have a meter to do it.
Sometimes Auto Zone will loan tools with a deposit but this is an expensive piece of equipment. You can try unhooking the positive battery cable and waiting about 5 minutes and sometimes this will turn off the light if it is an intermittent problem. The light may come back on if the transmission or PCM don't correct the problem itself.

The check engine light comes on mostly when you have bad gas tank cup,or you don't tight enough the gasoline.Go to any auto-zone and request the obd scanner,at no charge just leave your driver license or credit card, connect the scanner follow the instructions. They will check up and the check engine light will come off in the next 3 to 5 days.

Check engine light stays on How do you reset 1994 Dodge Caravan

Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to reset the light on a 1994 vehicle. Resetting the light will do no good unless you repair the problem causing it to come on. It will just come back on again.

How to reset, plug or unplug my engine light on my 2000 dodge caravan?

you may disconnect the battery for a few minutes, but the correct way is to clear it with a scanner. Of course, resetting the light without the proper repairs, its just going to come back on, after the computer runs the tests and it fails.

Auto Zone test said I have to buy another computer. I found one at the junk yard for $100.00, but we don't know where is the computer chip in the 1998 Dodge Sport Caravan. Please let me know before I pull...

the pcm (computer)is beside the battery under the hood.
1 remove the battery (disconnect cables and undo the battery tie down)
2 remove and set aside the pdc (Power distribution center)(don't unhook the wires) its beside battery (2 screws)
3 unplug and remove the pcm (2 electrical plugs and 3 bolts)
Hope this helps!

when you changed the battery you loosened or broke the body ground wire just follow the ground cable from the battery to the engine and try to find a smaller wire that is disconnected or broken
