Pull up on the lower front edge to dislodge the seat from the clamps that holds the seat to the floor. Pull hard, if the seat has never been removed. the clamps will be tight. Once the seat bottom is out, you will be able to see the bolts that holds the rear seat backs onto the body.

SOURCE: Remove radio

Replace the CD player. To pull the plastic baffle off the dashboard: Adjust the heating vents so they point downwards. Grab the plastic bar between the heating vents and the stereo. Pull. Remove the screws from the front of the mounting brackets. Pull out the crappy stereo. Unplug the antenna and the wiring harnesses. Transfer the mounting brackets to your new stereo. Cut off the big wiring harness (unless you're lucky enough to have a replacement stereo that accepts the same kind). Connect the wires to the wires on your new stereo's harness. yes you will have to remove the rear seat. the bottom of the seat pulls straight up and out. the back of the seat has twelve mm bolts holding it at the bottom. once those are removed you lift straight up and out, its hooked at top.

6 cd's stuck in a 2004 toyota avalon

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow us to assist you.

You either have one of several problems.

1) You are using a home-made CD, and the unit is not recognizing it

2) A CD is severly scratched and the unit is not recognizing it

3) The unit has lost its memory of the CDs in the magazine

What you can do:

The radio may just need to be rebooted. That process involves the radio to be removed from the dash, and the unit's wire connectors removed for 5 minutes (do this only if you are skilled in disassembling the dash). After removal, and 5 minutes, plug the wiring connectors back in, turn the key on, and hit the eject button. If the CDs slide out, you are good to go. If not, the unit will need a professional repair techinican.

Thanks for choosing FIxYa today.

S-belt

Your local mechanic would be able to change the belt for you, it is not an expensive repair. If you are going to attempt the job yourself ensure you look at the configuration before removing the old belt, I would suggest you draw yourself a picture of the set up before removing the old belt. When you have removed the old belt spin the pulleys to ensure you dont have a noisy one causing the problem. Be sure to have the correct tools before attempting the job. If you don't have the tools then it is not worth attempting the repair yourself.
