Code 140 is for a problem with the O2 sensor bank one sensor two. This sensor is behind the catalytic converter and tells the computer if the cat is working or not. The code means the sensor voltage has not changed as often as it should. Could be a faulty sensor, wiring harness problem, or other issue. The sensor would need to be tested using a scanner.
12 means the system memory has been cleared recently. 31 Evaporative emissions carbon vapor storage canister purge solenoid open or shorted. Check the under hood emission sticker for location on diagram.
When the ECM is replaced you need to have it reprogrammed. It may run the engine for a bit but there are t many variables to keep it going. Some auto parts stores are doing this now. call around. Much cheaper than a dealer. If you had it reprogrammed then you need to check the codes. This will give a direction to go.
