Can i put a 84 bronco 2 tranny mazda type 14 bolt pan in a 88 bronco 2 that originally had a 12 bolt pan both 4wd

well if it is a 1984 tranny it is a toyo koygo tk4 or tk5, which if mounted in the 84 bronco the transmission sets at a tilt, which means that the transmission crossmember bolts into the frame at a angle.. the mazda tranny was used in 88-90 the transmission crossmember sets straight across and bolts on to the frame on each side with one bolt.. with some major fabricating it is possible but to simply change out nope wont fit..

The "84 carburatored Bronco has only one O2 senser

block the egr valve if fitted with a full gasket made from a coca cola can that will eliminate any problems their ,then check inside the distributor cap for tracking or burning of the contacts ,also condition of the centre carbon brush and the rotor arm ,you are looking for burnt lines in the plastic where its been tracking .Now if none of this works then remove the carb place on a sheet of paper on the kitchen table and strip and clean the carb right down paying particular to looking for a grey dusty deposit .I not sure how a O2 sensor could affect the running on a carb unless its a mono point injection system ,check it out because although you think it is a carb it could be a early monopoint fuel injection system as i have never seen a O2 sensor with a carb engine but iam in europe where catalytic converters were not introduced untill 1992 ,The american car market is obsesed with emmisions but you have no yearly mechanical test of the vehicle which iam amazed about ,how many accidents are caused by badly maintained vehicles i wonder?? anyway if you keep this reply in your E mail box till you get it sorted then you get back to me for more advice and please remember the time zone difference for the answer ,
