Did you buy a new computer - from dealer?
if you did not, and got a used or aftermarket?

First off, your old computer messed up alot of engine compenets
and now you have broken stuff in your car that you arent aware of

second. by replacing it, your trying to make the car run at factory setting, when the car has broken componets.

i do not reccommend replacing any car computers. Sorry to say, but id scrap the car.

Swapped out 4.6motor in 1998 lincoln town car with a 1999 4.6 non police interceptor motor...now will not start..only clicks when you try to start

Assuming that the battery was disconnected for this exercise It is possible that the program in the CPU which controls the immobiliser has been corrupted . Use a scanner to reprogram the CPU for starters . Check that you have connected all the wires including the cam/crank position sensors

I just bought a new motor for my 2003 Dodge Neon it cranks but doesnt start and isnt firing up

I suggest that you use a code reader to reset / reprogram the CPU as you have had the battery disconnected for a long time and there are sensors that may not be compatible with the CPU settings. Resetting the CPU will allow the corrupted program to reset correctly. If this is no help then check that every wire has been connected correctly as it is easy to overlook a connection

Swapped motor 23l replaced with f23a now car idles but dies on acceleration. does computer need changed now that motors have been changed.

I would so so as the CPU for one engine will recognise different sensors for the other and will be confused because ot different settings. Have the fault codes read and if MAP/MAF sensors are indicated that is where I would start to solve the problem

Engine just died

Replace the hose that burst and refill with coolant. If the motor shut down almost immediately then the cpu may have shut down the system to save the motor. Use a code reader to read for faults and also to reset the cpu.
