Fuel problem my full size 1986 bronco took a hard hit causing it to bottom out. when it bottomed out it turned off. laer we found that the fuel pumps were not comming on when you turned the key on. so we traced the wires and they went into the truck then into a small black box so we finally just ran a wire from the battrey to the wire we traced and the both pumps come on but the bronco still would not start do you have any ideas

Hi there.... in the passenger compartment you will find and inertia switch. It is usually located behind the kick panel on the pasenger side. Pull the kick panel of and you should find a box with a button (usually red) push the button in and you fuel pumps should work again.

Check for timing gear problems. They have plastic teeth on the cam shaft gear which will shatter causing it to jump time.
