Question about 1997 Chevrolet Suburban
I tried pulling the handle to let down the tailgate on my suburban, but it does not move at all. I tried pulling with some force but that was to no avail. Please help me solve this problem so I can fix my stubborn tailgate. Thanks.
More than likely in need of some penetrating spray on mechanisms & handle, insides. But .... have to get it open for that. Did you try pushing in and pulling at same time. Try spraying lubricant, or preffered penetrating spray (WD_40 or similar) down along side where it latches on the side to the pins, in between gate & fender, in gap that is there, and give it a little time to work in. Stick red nozzle of can in key hole to and spray also. Try to get it up under and inside of handle.
