Question about 1986 Porsche 944

1986 944 2.5L. engine- cut off and will start back after a short time. and will run for 5 or 6 min. and cut off again checked fuel system and all is good. it has no spark after it cuts off, noticed when the key goes form ign. on to start, it has one good spark, and when after turnig engine over and going from start to on , at the ign. switch, it has one good spark. have replaced the wires, plugs, spark plugs, coil, dist. cap, and rotor button. also temp sensor and ref. sensor

hi this sounds to me like its def a fuel problem, if you have done the fuel filter i would check for mositure or water in your fuel, if that comes back ok i would check your fuel pump relays or the actual pump itself

try another relay if still same then bring out voltmeter/start checking wires

Sounds like a fuel pump problem possibly a relay! check fuel pressure at the rail! if no fuel check for power tothe fuel pump witha test light

Engine cuts off


Check the relays. A worn connection could cause this.
The fuel pump relay is often the culprit.
If you try twisting the relays, gently while it's running, or while you try starting it, you may find the problem.
Hope that's it.
