The mech. said that the stud pulls out of the motor causing the wiper not to work.
have you remove the outside cover to see if nut has fallen off. remember not to overtighten it if it has.

Check owners manual for fuse locations, you probably blew the one for that wiper.

My windshield wipers stop working what can i do,i don't have a owners manual

First thing to check is the fuse panel. If all fuses are good inside the vehicle and under the hood in the power distribution box then you will need to test the wiper motor by using direct wire connections. Once you access the Wiper motor itself identify the ground wire buy using a Multimeter to locate the wire that provides a connection between the motor and a ground point. Ground that wire and apply power from a direct connection to the batter with a piece of wire and see if the motor will activate. If it won't then your wiper motor is most likely burned out. If it does work and the fuses are good the problem is your wiper switch.

How To ?

Get the VIN# from the vehicle, either on a plate under the hood or on the front of the windshield down low. Once you have the VIN# which is (VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) contact mercury and they can give you all codes for the vehicle.

Entry code om drivers door

The keyless entry module is located in the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side. You will need to partially remove the left rear panel in the cargo area. You will then see the keyless entry module bolted behind a metal reinforcement bar. There is a sticker on the module that has the 5 digit entry code.
