It should be a better than average back yard mechanic...u don't want someone losing parts or putting the wrong line on. check their previous work or references.

No power to fuel pump on a kia sportage ex

Assuming you verified no power, there is usually a "fuel pump relay" that tells the fuel pump to run. This based on a signal from the ECU. In some cars that relay is problematic, some drivers carry a spare. It may be other things, like sensors that are giving information to the ECU. Take the car to your car parts store, they may read the error codes and give you an idea of the problem.
I googled: Kia Sportage fuel pump problems there may be an answer. Looks like you're not the only one with this problem.

Why does fuel sensor not work correctly after replacing fuel pump on 2009 kia rondo?

you must mean the fuel gauge? is dead? just a hint here.

wire /connector left loose.
when replacing any fuel pump check the 2 pins on the level sender
it will read 10 to 200 Ohms about 10 is full, and 200 or bit higher is empty, if the sender reads INFINITY. the sender is bad.
or is unplugged in the tank.
the sender is just a wire wound variable resistor.
a pot or correct name is a rheostat. (electronics, true names)
on car, its a FUEL level SENDER.

double posted.

How to replace oil pan gasket on 05 Kia Sportage LX 2.7L?

Yes you can do the job at home but the engine must be lifted off the engine mounts to have enough room to access and remove the oil pan, a very difficult job on the ground, fairly easy on a car lift. The job at home is about a 3-4 hour job if you are an experienced car person and have the right tools, you will need a good 2-21/2 ton hydraulic floor jack (not the cheap little ones Autozone sells) and jack stands as well as a wooden block to raise the engine up so you won't damage the oil pan..

200 kia sportage, wont start wont even click. Took out the battery and put it in my other car, it starts it, kia does nothing,.lights work, all electrical things work, no starting , now what?

check for fuel and spark. if no fuel, spray starting fluid in throttle body. if it starts then quits, its a fuel problem.then check fuel pump relay and or fuse to pump. have a good day !! you may be able to switch relays with another one to see if thats it. but the relays have to be the same number as the old one.

2001 Kia Sportage won't start. Driving the other day it died like it ran out of gas, like it has a few times. I added gas, it started, then died before I could drive off. I replaced the timing belt a...

Most mechanic shops would be able to check the fuel pressure coming from your fuel pump. Before you do that, try replacing your fuel filter. If your fuel filter has gotten clogged, there may be enough resistance to kill the motor. It is possible that you have some other obstruction in your fuel system, like a clogged fuel line that will also cause this problem.
