Question about 1992 Jeep Wrangler
I would imagine im just gonna have to buy a new tranny. i have a 1992 jeep wrangler it was my first jeep, and when i bought it i didnt know a whole lot about them.. i drove it for about a month and after abt 1500 miles my tranny started to knock in 5th gear really bad and in 4th a little. reverse only works somtimes. turns out i didnt have the lowering kit on the tranny. I really dont wanna buy a new tranny. if i can get it fixed cheaper that would be great. thnx for reading
Sounds like you may have a bad cluster gear in the tranny. You can get a brand new tranny for a decent price through Quadratech. Be wary of the rebuilt tranny. If not done correctly you will have more problems again.
