Question about Hyundai Motor 1999 Tiburon
IF your sure you have the correct replacement belt, AND your sure that you have the belt routed correctly, you could try bumping the belt on. CAUTION, DANGER, SEVERE INJURY MAY OCCUR. The method I'm about to describe is very dangerous, use extreme care if you attempt this method. You'll need two people and a long (preferably 2 or 3 foot long) prybar. First disconnect the coil wire so the car won't accidentally start. Next, you have to be able to get at least the first inch or two of the belt on the pully. If you can't get the belt that far, don't install it. Take it back and get a longer belt or you'll damage the alternator bearings. Once you get the belt to that point, place the blade of the prybay tightly against the belt, holding it against the pully. Keep your hands and fingers away from the engine compartment as much as possible and be ready to move quick. Have your helper bump the ignition key for just an instant. Just a very quick on/off of the key. It may take a few tries before the belt jumps onto the pully. If this helps you, please remember to rate my responce but most of all, BE CAREFUL!! Thanks.
