VW T4 1.9td: annoying beeping sound on dashboard?

After a time driving, a flashing light which is red comes on the dashboard accompanied by a lovely screaming beeping sound. There is plenty of oil in the tank as we've put in 4-5 litres over the past 2 weeks. Therefore I think it's an electrical fault. Any ideas on how to locate the oil switch and stop the £#+=^& beeping sound.

The beeping sound only comes on at low revs and stops when travelling over 50mph. Please help it's doing my head in... Thanks!

My 2005 Chevy impala makes a light beeping sound while I am driving but there is nothing on the dash that warns of a problem. It beeps lightly the whole time I am driving.

that is weird, could be a squeak in your hvac fan, see if it changes with speed of fan, usually a beep is accompanied by a light on the dash as well

I need to reset the oil change light.how do I do This?

1. Engine off, turn ignition key to RUN - do not start engine - make sure dashboard indicator lights come on

2. Put foot top of accelerator

3. Completely depress and release the accelerator TO THE FLOOR, THREE TIMES in rapid succession, within FIVE SECONDS - press release, press release, press release. Then wait a few seconds and the CHANGE OIL light should usually flash, sometimes accompanied by a few short beeps. Once it flashes it should disappear, and it should be reset.
