SOURCE: SUN ROOF

There is an "anti-trap" feature in your sunroof motor that will prevent the sunroof from closing if it "thinks" somthing is in the way.
The next time you have the problem, try helping the window by pushing it forward when you activate the close switch. This will tell us if the "anti-trap" is active. By helping the motor, it takes away some of the resistance and the motor thinks its OK to close.
If it works with your help, try cleaning the glass rails, sand, dirt, leaves and debris add friction to the system and cause a "false anti-trap".
Once cleaned apply the approved lubricant and work the window several times to spread the grease up and down the track.
Good luck and let me know.

SOURCE: 2002 BLAZER WHEN STARTING VEHICLE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE READS HIGH, KNOCKING COMING FROM ENGINE, WHEN ACCELERATING IT GETS FASTER & FEELS LIKE LOOSING POWER WHEN DECELERATING

Bang on the catalytic converter being careful not to get burnt and see if it's loose causing a rattle. Until you determind what the problem is don't drive the vehicle. The other possibility is that you may need an engine. If what you're hearing us a connecting rid knock.

I close the sun roof and it doesn't open again even if I hear the electrical motor running?

The motor is connected to the sunroof drive mechanism with a rubber cylinder. It could just be that this cylinder has worn out.

close-sun-roof-doesnt-open-again-even-k5qqxmls2p4bbxrteyuqk5mr-3-0.jpg If the motor runs one way and not the other the problem is likely in the switch itself on the centre console. I gently levered out my switch, pried it open and cleaned the contacts with a very thin file.

It was difficult to get the actual switch open, but once polished and reassembled the roof moved back and forth properly.

Knocking noise in engine of 2002 holden rodeo

Hi, is this a new noise ? If it is check the oil level as shown on the dip stick of the engine..... if you can hear knocking the engine will be pretty well buggered. How many km\'s has the vehicle done.... really, not what you can see on the speedo. One other thing is if the wrong fuel has been put in the tank, i.e diesel, or high octane petrol that the knock sensors cannot adjust to suit i.e av gas is a very high octane rating fuel that should not be used in engines designed for low octane.

2002 Bonneville Sunroof. Fabric on sunshade was loose, was able to pull shade forward, glued fabric but the shade will not go back. Seems to be hitting something in the back. Can you help?

Hi

Inspect the sun roof of your Pontiac Bonneville to make sure it's seated evenly on your vehicle, not raising or lifting at one corner. Lifting indicates the presence of debris on the tracks, or a damaged seal around the sun roof.

Remove the trim on the interior of your Pontiac Bonneville and allow the interior material to drop. Use compressed air to blow dust and debris from the tracks that move your sun roof. Treat the tracks using 3-In-One Lubricant.

Check the Pontiac Bonneville's drain tubes for clogging. Two of these run down the front of your vehicle to the bumpers. Two run to the back, most often by your tail lights. Clear the tubes using compressed air and replace them.

Clean the sun roof's rubber seal with a damp, lint-free cloth. Inspect the seal as you clean

I have a 1996 Toyota Avalon XLS V6. Engine light is on and im told i have a bad Knock Sensor. It has 2 and @ $150ea. Is there a cheaper or way to fix or bypass this problem? Ther isnt any knocking or...

i honestly have never seen a knock sensor go bad. a knock sensor detects spark knock, which is from low octane gas. if it hears this then the ecm retards the timing to stop the knock. you wont be able to hear the knock that its listening for. its like a little microphone stuck in the block. before you replace it you might want to check the plugs on the sensor itself. if they are corroded they could cause this problem.. ANYTIME you have engine codes ,always check your ground cables on the engine and the battery. i work in the marine industry and you would be amazed all the codes you can get just from having a corroded battery cable..like i said , i have never seen a knock sensor go bad..
