I would check the brake booster first that is what gives you the resistance to return the peddle to operating hight.no on the abs because even if it fails it wont chane anything but the cars tendency to lock up the wheels

While trying to change my pads i noticed my rotors seem loose, also i cant get the brakes to stop grinding, squealing after reassembly.

Shane, rotors may seem loose until wheel is on car and torqued to specification, I recommend you take car in for your brakes to be inspected, estimate and repaired at a good shop. Arrange your appointment time so you can be there and watch how it is done and learn from it. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

2002 Camry brakes seizing

Does your car have disc brakes around? rear caliper pins are common to seize, when rear brakes are replace is a good practice to have your shop replace rubber boots and clean pins on a wire wheel to remove all rust, also use a honning tool to clean caliper slides holes to bare metal assemble with a good quality brake lube. Caliper brackets(holders) also have to be clean by removing brake pads clips, clean back and front and grind off all rust from braket. this is one part may help, but have some concerns with your brakes lacking up after driving for a while, this is a symptom cause by a miss adjusted brake booster rod, when ever you replace a master cylinder you have to check the leng of it or your brakes will lockup somethimes so bad it won even move, have your shop set this to specs. good luck

1999 corolla, brake pedal goes to the floor. how can we fix the brakes?

is the abs light on?the abs system only effects the pedal when you are stopping quickly to activate the system. you still have a hydrualic brake pressure problem. are the rear brakes shoes or pads? rear shoes out of adjustment can cause a low brake pedal.even though the master cylinder has been replaced doesn't mean you got a good part.if the part was a remanufactered part very likely it is bad. to determine if it is the master cylinder, plug off the lines from the side off the master cylinder and hit the brake pedal. if the pedal stays up look for a problem elsewhere in the system. if the pedal drops the the master cylinder is defective.

When I press my brakes I get a grinding sound coming from the wheels. How do I know if it is the forward wheel brake or the back wheel brakes that are worn out?

Slowly apply the park brake while driving in a safe area. If the noise is present the rears are the area of concern as these are the only brakes applied. If the only time the noise is present the brake pedal is depressed, the front brakes need attention.

1990 Toyota Corolla rear drums bad?

If your pads are completely gone then you may have damaged the drums if you still have any pads left or shoes if they are drum brakes then you still need to have your drums checked out for the proper size to still be there for the brakes to function properly. You won't know until you look at them or are shown them by a pro. who has measured and found them to be beyond reuse! If you had leaks then you will need to repair the brake calipers or the wheel cylinders depending on which system you have drum or disc they are different!!! Hope this helps someway !!
