TAKE THE WHOLE FUEL RAIL WITH THE INJECTORS OFF..GET SOMEONE TO TURN THE ENGINE OVER SO YOU CAN SEE THE INJECTION SYSTEM WORKING....TAKE A COIL AND SPARK PLUG YOU KNOW THAN WORKS 100% PLUG IT IN CYCLINDER 2 WIRING PLUG AND TEST HOLD THE END OF THE SPARK PLUG AGAINST A PEICE OF METAL SEE IF YOU GET SPARK?..THEN CHECK THE WIRING UP TO COIL #2 (BROKEN,LOOSE,ETC).... FAILING THAT GARAGE BUT KEEP BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIPS, PRICES ARE HIGHWAY ROBBERY.....SORRY I COULD NOT BE OF ANY MORE HELP TO YOU....9 TIMES OUT OF 10 ITS THE COIL OR PLUG BUT CHECK ALL OF ABOVE 100%

Mis fire on cyclinder one and overheating for an 2005 Chevrolet equinox

You are describing the classic symptoms of a blown head gasket from the cylinder into the water jacket. This causes loss of compression in the affected cylinder and also injects hot gases into the cooling jacket resulting in overpressure and overheating of the coolant. Perform a compression check of all cylinders and if any are appreciably lower than the others, you are looking at some major engine work.

Cylinder 2 mis-fire code on 03 buick rendzvous

The code is telling you the cylinder is not producing power.
The problem could be a faulty spark plug or ignition problem, fuel injector, or mechanical problem such as a sticking valve.

Can't get number 2 cyclinder to fire. See spark when I pull the wire off. Looks the same as number 3 but can't tell if its fuel injector issue or not enough spark?

Have you switched the spark plugs to see if it is a bad plug ?
Switching the plug in cyl 2 with another cyl will tell you if the plug is bad if the problem moves to the other cyl.
It takes alot more voltage to fire a plug in a compressed cyl than it does out in the open. If the plug is fuel soaked it will never fire.

Code reader says 5cylinder mis fire changed plug changed coil pack still reading mis firwe 2002 envoy 4.2 liter

There can be other reasons for misfires beside spark plugs/coil, such as a bad injector, low compression in that cylinder, burnt valve seats.

The # 2 cyclinder has a miss fire off and on what do you think the issue is.

Some possibilities: sticky injector (try a dose of injector cleaner), bad plug (cracked ceramic which makes them moisture sensitive) or a bad ignition wire; take a look at the engine compartment in the dark with the engine at an idle. Allow time for your eyes to adjust to the light level before looking for arcing from ignition leads to block or other ground.

3.4 GM v6. dead skip on #4 cyl. Spark plug ok, wire ok, replaced injector. Still dead skip. Found cyl. by disconecting wires to injectors. #4 not affected.

The very first thing that you should do after finding a cylinder mis-fire that can not be easily explained such as a fouled spark plug, is to take a compression test especially of the mis-firing cylinder to be certain that the mis-fire is not caused by a mechanical problem, and I have seen people spend a lot of time and money trying to hunt down an electrical problem when the actual problem was a mechanical one, and no electronic part will repair a burnt or bent intake or exhaust valve.

I keep getting a misfire in cyclinder 4? the car also now will not accelerate past 3000 rpm's i pulled the plugs and only 4 looks like its not firing i replaced it last week... there is no oil in the water...

The very first thing that you should do next is to take a compression reading especially the #4 cylinder, to determine if the mis-fire is caused by a mechanical problem or an electrical problem. If you are looking for an electrical problem when the problem is actually a mechanical one, you could wind up wasting a lot of money and time.

A mechanical problem that would cause a low compression mis-fire in the engine could be a burnt or bent intake or exhaust valve, a worn out or broken piston or compression ring, or even a warped cylinder head.

An electrical mis-fire would most likely be caused by a faulty ignition coil, a worn out or cracked distributor cap, worn out ignition wires, worn out spark plugs, or a faulty fuel injector.

I have an 2002 buick century that has a iginition miss. We have changed the spark plugs, iginition wires, coil pack. It first came back with a miss fire number 2 cyclinder. The coil pack was changed. Now...

double check plug wires to be sure they go to the right cylinders. After that i would check fuel injectors
You need a listening device and listen for metallic clicking sound. Bad injectors will be silent and they do cause the same miss

Mis fire on cylinder 4 - Changed Cat. Converter, Replaced Fuel Filter, Replaced Air Filter, Changed Spark Plugs, rearranged Plug wires (made things even worse) and still not smooth and almost stalling at...

First off you want to make sure that you have the correct firing order down. When you rearranged the spark plug wires you might have made the firing order off and that could cause the misfire to get worse. the things that you should do to isolate the problem is to perform compression tests, fuel injectors, and also check the entire ignition system
