FUSES FOR RADIO

If the radio will not turn on at all you need to check fuse #9 (10 amp) in the left side heelboard fuse box, which is behind the carpet cover in between the driver rear seat cushion and floor and fuse #12 (5 amp) in the trunk fuse box. You should test for battery power on both sides of the fuse. If power is present then we either have a faulty radio or a wiring problem.

RADIO

I have a 91 XJ6 and have some experience with these Jaguars. First, do you have power to the radio? Does anything light up on the radio? If you have power you will need to go to a local dealership with the car and proof of ownership and the should be able to get the code for the radio. If you do not have power then check the fuse and wiring for a bad connection or bad fuse. Good luck, Ken.

The Jaguar chrome strip is magnetic. Simply lift one corner with a sharp object (e.g. wood chisel) and pull it up carefully. This will reveal several Torque screws. Undo the Torque screws and you will be able to complete the job. Good luck.

2001 Ford Taurus Radio doesn't work but CD player does!

Does your car have an automatic raising and lowering antenna? If it does check your fuses for it. If not pull your radio out of the dash, and check to make sure that the antenna wire has not become lose or unplugged from the back.
