Question about 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo won't run

I was driving on the Interstate at 70mph, the vehicle then stalled, with Check Engine light coming on. Vehicle has trouble starting as if it is flooded. The Coil and Crank Shaft Sensor was changed with vehicle starting, but stalls when gas applied. was wondering if it may be Cam Shft Postioning Sensor or the PCM/ECM. Can you help?

Had the code read, I know the ECM hasn't failed, since the vehicle does drive. So what is the next step?

Does it stall at idle or going down the highway? Does it restart right away? How long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Check the cam and crank sensor. Could be other issues?

Sometimes the oil drive housing can cause a sync problem between the crank and cam sensors?

Runs rough and stalling

Sounds to be related to a fuel or an ignition issue. Check out the history on the vehicles maintenance. Look at when the last COMPLETE tune-up was. Can check fuel line pressure, for a clogged CAT or defective muffler. If the engine light is on while it is running then you have stored code/s, if so then have them read. This will help you in finding the source of your Jeep's problem.
