Question about 1986 Porsche 944
1986 944 auto was running fine parked up and it would not start the following day.
have replaced the dme still no joy
checked dizzi cap plugs rota
now here is where i get confused took cap off the end off the fuel rail to try and gauge the fuel flow connected hose to end and ran to a fuel can turned the engine over to get the fuel pumping and low and behold the engine fired up but would only tick over as soon as the throttle is presseed the engine died,replaced the fuel rail cap and the car will not start.
any help or thoughts on this one would be great
If the fuel pressure regulator is stuck there will be to much pressure to the injectors and the injectors won't open, and thus no start. Since you relived the pressure by lossening the cap the engine ran.
