1994 chrysler concord electronic transmission control malfunction

My 1994 chrysler concorde has a malfunction in the electronic transmission control since I can not accelerate over 30 mph even with pedal nearly to the floor and it will not automatically shift as it should while the rpm reach 2 to 2.5 (normally my speed would be at least 65mph).

can't go faster than 30mph/no lights come on.

The trans goes to second gear when the trans computer sees a problem. This is a default in the programing so you can get off the road . Even if the lite is not on , there probally is a code set in the trans computer. If you have a AUTOZONE parts store around, go there they can check for codes for free. Let me know what you finde out so i can help you farther.

SOURCE: I have a 2000 chrysler concorde that the engine light just popped on - the error codes are po302, po420, po340

P0302-cylinder #2 misfire detected
P0420- catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1
P0340-No cam signal at PCM.
The Cam sensor most likely needs to be replaced first. Clear the codes after that and drive and see what comes back on.

SOURCE: HOW DO I CHANGE THE BATTERY IN MY 2001 CHRYSLER CONCORDE?

You will need to disengage the Negative terminal (Black side) and then the Red (positive side). In addition, there might be a securing bracket with two bolts or wing nuts, loosen these and the rods can be pushed down and twist out of the bottom. Once this is done remove the battery and head to your local Auto parts store, they can help you select the correct one. re-assemble as you have taken apart. you will need to re program your stereo and reset your clock, (prior to removing terminals) make sure there are no special lock out codes for your stereo. Good luck!

I have a 1994 chrysler concorde it doesnt want to shift gears. At 45 mph it is a 4rpm what can i do or do i need a new transmission?

You need to start with having the codes pulled. The transmission is computer controlled and has self diagnostics. The problem is just about all failures cause the same symptom , staying in second(limp mode). There are several sensors and solenoids that could be the issue and even the transmission computer itself was prone to failure in theses years. If you can get it scanned for codes and ask them to write down the CVI values for me and get back with me I will tell you what is wrong with it.
