High beams work but low beams do not. Fuses seem to be good

Have a pntiac grand prix gt and the high beams work but low beams do not. Fuses seem to be good. What else can it be? Relays? Is there a way to see if the relay is working? Is it the switch? Wiring? Please help

I do not know if the bulbs are good. I have not replaced them since I have had the car. Is it possible that they can both go out at the same time? How would you check the dimmer switch

Hi

I would start with the dimmer switch if you know the lights are good dimmer switches do this you will lose your high beam or you will lose your low beam when they go bad.

99 grand prix gt low beam head light not working ,but high beam and fogs do

Hi Brian:
First thing I would do would be to check the bulb.

Next, Have a look at your fuse index.
There is a distinct possibility that these are on separate fuses and perhaps it's just a bad fuse.

Pontiac grand prix high beams work but not low beams

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grandprix GXP I had hit a deer in May the repairs were made in June of this year. Here is my problem the air bag light comes on while I'm driving the car and now I have no low beam lights. I have taken the car back to where the repairs were done, cause I think the problems are from the damages. I was informed today that there's no juice from the fuse box to the low beam switch. What would cause this?

Replace headlight on a Pontiac Grand Prix

The Grand Prix uses separate bulbs for low beams and high beams. The low beams are located on the outer edge of the headlight assemblies while the high beams are located on the inner edge of the assemblies. With this in mind, locate the position of the burned out bulb prior to replacing it.

2007 pontiac grand prix headlights are not working correctly. High beams work but not low beam. nothing works on automatic. Low beam bulbs have been replaced. Lights worked for one day, then back to not...

I drive a 07 Grand Prix and the low beams randomly went out. Could not get them to come back on, but all of the other lights worked (inside, parking, and high beams). found a forum online that recommended replacing the fuse/thing at location #35 in the fuse box under the hood. It worked immediately!! Got the part at Advanced Auto parts for $35 dollars.

I have 2006 grand prix and the bright lights wont come on. I move the blinker lever forward and the low beams stay on but i get the blue bright light on the dash, checked fuses all seem to be okay

do you hear the click of the dimmer switch when you move the lever if you do then the steel rod that goes from the lever to the switch itself is working and the switch is moving from the low beam to high beam circuit.if the blue dash indicator is on them power is coming out of the switch to the dash to operate the light.its possible that the dimmer switch may need to be adjusted a little if you don`t hear the click but moves enough to put the dash light on but not enough to turn the high beams on,that is possibly why the low lights stay on.or you have a bad dimmer switch itself

The low beam will not come on whan the light are on the high beam will come on

THERE MAY BE A BLOWN FUSE . USE A FUSE TESTER, CHECK ALL OF THE FUSES, UNDER THE HOOD & IN THE DASH. IF THEY ARE ALL GOOD BOTH LOW BEAM LIGHTS COULD BE BAD. ALSO CHECK THE DIMMER
" BEAM SELECT " SWITCH.

2002 pontiac grand prix gt. High beams are dimmer

A loose ground wire to the headlight will keep it dim,Or a headlight adjustment will bring the headlight up.If you can have your headlight turned on a garage door or something at night, and then watch as you change your headlights from low beam to high beam which ones are higher.the last thing to verify is that your high beam headlights are not the plastic lens type that turn dull which cuts the light power.

1998 pontiac grad prix low beams not working?

It sounds like it's your Headlight switch has gone bad, I'm thinking that the high beams are the daytime running light which is the same as your High beams.

If you go to Auto Zone or Parts Source, they have the replacement switch with step by step instructions.

If you remove the headlight switch from the dash, check the orange wire for power, if there is 12 volts. Good chance's are that the switch is bad, common on the GM's.
Good luck and keep me posted.
