What would you charge to replace a serpantine belt on my 2006 Matrix XR - 43,000 miles? My zip code is 53222

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow us to assist you.

You are looking at one-half hour labor, times your area's local labor rate; plus the belt (90080-91139-83), which is $39.84, plus any applicable taxes in your state.

Our service facility would charge $35.00 labor for the belt replacement.

Thanks for choosing FixYa today.

Please come back again if you need any other help on your Matrix.

How to install a serpentine belt for 2006 toyota matrix and need diagram

The diagram should be on a ticker under the hood somewhere. No sure about the install but there is probably a tension roller that you just release with a socket to remove the belt.

2005 toyota matrix routing for serpentine belt ; I'm replacing the original factory belt only to now realize that there is no routing diagram on the car

Start with it around the crankshaft, and then just go flat sides to flat sides, and ribs to ribs, and work your way around.

Toyota Matrix 05/Auto.

What does the noise sound like? Does it increase w/ engine speed? It could be a bearing in the alternator, water pump, p.s. pump, belt tensioner pulley, etc. You can try to locate it by using a piece of wood (or long screwdriver) and VERY CAREFULLY touch it to the different components under the hood w/ car running, w/ your ear against the screwdriver handle, or piece of wood (VERY carefully due to many moving pulleys and belt(s) and hot components).

Tranny fluid/belt tensioner

You very well could have a Bad Belt Tensioner. Its a Easy Fix, Just get a New Tensioner and get back with me and I will tell you how to Install it. On my 2006 Scion Xa, There is No Tranny Dipstick! This is a Ploy from Toyota to get you to Bring it in for Service. You have the Same Motor that I have in Yours.
