Replace driver side lowbeam headlight on a Honda 2005 Civic EX

  1. 1 Locate and remove the power steering reservoir from behind the driver's side headlight assembly. Pull straight upward, sliding it off its mount and set aside for access to the headlight bulb. Make sure you keep it upright so it does not spill.
  2. Step 2 Locate and remove the electrical connector from the back of the bulb. Depress the locking tab to release it and pull the connector down, removing it from the bulb.
  3. Step 3 Turn the bulb counterclockwise ¼-turn then pull the bulb straight out of the headlight assembly. Insert a new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn it ¼-turn clockwise to lock it in place.
  4. Step 4 Install the electrical connector by plugging it into the bottom of the bulb. Push the connector in until the locking tab engages the bulb, securing it to the bulb.
  5. Step 5 Slide the power steering pump reservoir onto its mount.

Electric window only goes down half way

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal. It sounds like the guide rails may be loose and snagging the window. Or your regulator may be broken (not likely)

How do i get the headlamp out of a 1995 Honda Civic to replace the globe?

The car should have a rubber boot on the back of the headlight. Pull this off and disconnect the electrical connector to the bulb. Next lift up the metal hold down behind the bulb which looks like a paper clip and release the bulb. Pull it out and replace it.

My rear left window will not work in my 2001 civic lx where can I locate the fuses to solve this issue?

a defective or blown fuse would cause all the windows to stop working, so that is not te problem, most likely the electric motor that moves the window is defective inside the door.

My trunk won't lock?

What can happen is the hook ( I don't know the technical terms) on the body of the car slides down and the latch cannot properly engage it. Try loosening the hook and sliding it upward before tightening it down. This should allow the latch to properly catch the hook. This happened on my '91 Honda Civic and that's how I was able to fix it.

2001 Honda Civic door lock

If there is nothing jammed in the barrel, you will need to pull apart the lining of the interior of the door, disconnect the power motor for that switch, then see if it locks by key, sounds like the motor is seized, of out of allignment, easily fixed with a second hand or reco motor, or witha simple adjustment. Good luck, hope it helps.

Honda civic 2001

Remove rear wheels, remove rear calipers there will be two ten or 13 mm bolts on the back,(DO NOT LOOSEN THE LITTLE BLEEDER NIPPLE WITH THE RUBBER CAP ON IT!) pry the calipers back and off the rotors ,remove the old pads and get a c-clamp or big channel lock pliers and squeeze the caliper pistons back into the bores until they stop, now if your rotors are badly scored or rusty this is the time to change them there will be one or two #3 phillips head screws holding each rotor, remove these( you may need an impact driver with a phillips bit and a hammer) pull off the old rotors and reinstall the new ones after cleaning the rust protection off of them with brake cleaner and cleaning the rust from the hub where they sit., pull the rubber boots back on the caliper slide pins and lube them with clear silicon grease till they move freely, now use black hi temp grease to lube where the pads sit on the brackets(after cleaning the brackets of rust and dirt) and lube the backs of the pads (not the friction side make sure these stay clean!!) now reassemble and enjoy you just saved yourself a couple hundred bucks from the shop !! -jeff
