Fan only works high speed. For AC compressor runs but no fan other than when switched to high speed at which time the fan runs at high speed but AC switches off.

1995 gmc safrai van the heater switch only 2 speed full speed not working

change the resistor block that is mounted on the fan.there is a couple 7/32 screws holding it is in the lower right of the dash

Heater blower will not run

Check for 12v at the blower motor connector,

If no current then the switch is bad, or the relay is bad.

Obviously check your fuse as well.

Could also be your blower motor resistor if the fan only works on high speed on not the lower speeds.

Heater fan stopped working. Is there a fuse 1999 Buick Century

Actually there are 2 fuses. One is for the lower speeds and one is for High speed. Might be a relay, too. Check the owner's manual for the location. I believe the high speed one is under the rear seat.

Location of low speeds heater fan fuse & switch. I do not have a owners manual.

the switch is on the dash with the other a/c controls. does the fan work at all? high speed OK? but the lower speeds dont work? if any speeds other than high dont work, replace the blower resistor.

Sounds like your blower motor resister went out on your lower speeds have it checked if possible. This is a common problem on GM models.

2000 grand marquis blower fan stops on lower speeds

there is a resistor for the fan motor which works the lower speeds, you need to replace that, it is normally located near the blower motor, got 3-6 wires plugged in it

Blower motor only works on lower speed ranges

it's likely the resister block that needs to be replaced... you can locate the part mounted on the duct work under the dash near the fan... there is a connector on it and two to three bolts to remove it.

Please take a moment to rate this solution.. thanks
