Re: 2003 silverado 1500 v-6 brake lights dont work
Ljones, Did you check the "VEH stop" fuse in the left side instrument panel fuse box. There are 3 stop light fuses, 1 for all the stop lights located in the under hood fuse box. 2 in the left side IP fuse box. 1 for the upper stop light and 1 for the lower stop lights. The fuse box in the IP is where the upper and lower stop lights split. Let me know.

For starters it is spelled "Brake" light...LOL . Sounbds like you may have a brake light switch that has gone out. In yor owners manual does it show more than one fuse for the brake lights? Most vehicles with a thrid/highmount brake light split the brake light power to either the left and third brake light and the right brake light or vice versa, or posibble 3rd brake light on its own fuse. I would check if all of the brake light including the 3rd brake light dont work. If no lights work at all it leans toward the switch which controls all or them to activate hence the brake light switch. It should be mounted on your brake peal arm or to the main base. The pedal lever activate the switch when you depress the brake pedal.
sounds like a bad turn signal switch . both side brake lights run through it but the third brake l;ight runs direct from the brake light switch .- play with the hazard button a few times and if the start working you need the turn signal switch
check voltage from the brake pedal switch to the signal sight switch, center light is not on the same circuit, first clue is the signsl lights work so all the wiring from the switch is good, also power to the signal switch is good but not power from the brake switch
