That same problem just happiend to me and my wife we drove it to walmart got out got our stuff got in and started it and it died it would turn over fine  but would start or stay runing so first thing i did was check the air filter may be it wasnt getting enough air still nothing so then i checked the fuel rail. they put a quick connect fitting on the supply line i pulled the cap when the car was off and pushed the nipple in and no fuel came out (when you do this make sure you have gloves and eye where on ) so the first thing i did was replace the fuel firlter located on passenger side in the rear of the gas tank. it fixed all my problems but dont give up when it dosent start right away it needs time to bulid fuel presure and make sure everythings tight.

Was driving the 2010 Nav at interstate speeds, heard loud pop and check engine light started flashing, engine running rough, lost power. Changed plugs, checked cat. converter, any ideas?

Have the codes read before putting any other parts on. Flashing check engine is a critical warning that something serious is wrong. You could spend thousands throwing parts at it and never fix it.

On highway heard clank noise oil and engine light came on I lost power and now won't start

Sounds like your timing belt broke. Could be a very costly repair. Mine cost me over $1400 for a new engine basically. I'm no mechanic though, good luck.

Try cleaning the throttle body and butterfly plate. If that doesnt work, replace the IAC (idle air control) motor.

There's a knocking noise coming from my dashboard on the passenger side of my car a have a 05 cavalier and it kinda sounds like it has to do with the AC or heater any know how to fix this problem?

It is probably the blower motor itself, does it change sounds or quit when operating the fan? possible debris is in fan cage, fan has a bad bearing, or a blade balancer slip on weight fell off. remove and inspect, possibly plug fan in when removed and check for operation, while fan is removed check housing compartment for debris or foreign material laying in the bottom, check fan blade for signs of rubbing contacts or broken fins

2000 chevy cavalier, when turning left makes

Check the under fender. Sometimes the black plastic will come loose around the wheel area. Turn your wheels to the left and see if the tire are rubbing close to any part of the fender area.

THERE IS A BAD OIL LEAK COMING FROM SOMEWHERE, YESTERDAY ON THE INTERSTATE WE HEARD A POP LIKE WE HIT A ROCK OR SOMETHING THEN A SIZZLE AND WHEN WE STOPPED ALOT OF SMOKE. WHAT COULD THIS BE?

if you hit a rock, maybe your oil pan.
inspect the car from below.
if you cannot find it, use a degreaser and clean the engine compartment, then, put some powder on the engine and start the engine. the leak should show up.
check your oil level as well, if you drop a lot, you may need more oil to start your car safely.

I have a high pitched noise which appears to be coming from front right engine compartment (as you are looking at the engine) which sounds kind of like a belt that is squealing. It is intermittent. Just...

Could be several things. WHICH ENGINE?.. 4 cylinder (has three belts, power steering/water pump, alternator & A/C compressor, one tensioner pully A/C compressor), The V6 2.7 (has only one belt, 1 Idler pully and 1 tensioner pully), the V6 3.5 has two belts - A/C/alternator, and power steering - there are two tensioner pullys). Noises can be caused by the belt(s) themselves, pullys, bearings, pully bearings, water pump shaft bearings (or belts/pullys rubbing up against something). Let's not forget that there is also belt(s) behind the Timing Belt cover as well as pullys and bearings associated with the timing system. You could start by removing one accy drive belt at a time (alternator, water pump, compressor, power steering, etc) to see whether or not the noise goes away in each case. If after each case, you discover the noise is still there, it's probably behind the timing belt cover (idler/tensioner pully, water pump shaft bearing, crankshaft bearing, etc.). Good Luck
