You have to "drop" the entire fuel tank out of the car. "IT`S A BEAR OF A JOB"!! I would almost bet that at least one of the "Tank Strap" bolts will "break", or have to be "cut". You have less than 2 inches to do it. If you cannot remove the exhaust system, then you`ll have to finagle it out, it`s worse trying to get it back in that way, you`ll get stuck on the "heat shield" for the exhaust. Once the tank is out, it takes about 15 min. to remove the old pump, and put in the new one. You will have to have a "Fuel Line Disconnect Tool" to remove the lines from the tank. $7.95 @ auto parts store. Well worth the money! It`s not a job for the weak of heart!

Where is the fuel pump and sending unit located and how do you get to it?

It is located inside the fuel tank. You must remove the entire tank to gain access, the pump and sender in most cases are sold as one unit called a "Fuel Pump Module"

Looking for location of fuel filter

Your fuel filter is located inside of your gas tank. There may be an access panel under your back seat. If not, you'll have to drop your gas tank to gain access to your fuel filter and fuel pump.

Where is the fuel pump on a 2000 Buick LaSabre?

these are inside the top of the fuel tank and the tank has to be dropped to gain access to it to replace.there is a lock ring that has to be removed to pull the unit out of the tank.you may have to drain gas from the tank to make it lighter and so you don`t spill any fuel while replacing it.

How do I change a fuel pump on a 1999 buick regal

The fuel pump is in the gas tank. more than likely you have to drop the tank to remove/replace the pump. I would contact you local dealers service dept. as some of those cars had an access panel under the back seat to access the pump without having to remove the tank.

If you have an access panel, it should be an hour or less job with common hand tools.

Were is my fuel pump located? is it in the tank or outside the tank 1995 buick lesabre

inside the tank and if it is the year i am thinking of the access panel should be in the trunk close to the spare tire. If it is you will not have to drop the fuel tank.

I need to know how to put a fuel pump on a '99 buick lesabre

check in the trunk in the spare tire area for an access panel, or under the rear seat, usually 8 to 12 screws 2 wiring connectors and 2 or 3 hoses to disconnect. if you cannot find the access panel then the gas tank will need to be removed from the vehicle.
good luck
