2006 Ford Explorer XLT the Blower Fan only works on 4 and 3 Speed how I can change the motor blower resistor? Tks.

Look under the dash on passenger side and just to the left of the blower motor housing you will see the 4WD control module.Remove the 2 screws holding the module and let it hang down and your resistors are behind this.Remove the 2 screws holding the resistors and remove.
Now I am assuming you have manual climate control and not electonic.

Geronimo, Normally the fuel lines run from gas tank, along frame rail, then up to fuel rail into injectors.

Ford f150 xlt, blower fan won't blow ac into cab of truck can feel cold air when on highway. But fan not working. Help?


Check to see if the blower works with the heater on. Turn the control to heat and see if the fan works. First check the fuse for the blower. If the fuse is good and the blower does not work with heat on , the blower may be bad or the speed resistor maybe bad.

normally there are actuator to control and selenoid systemyou have to check and you can use the wooden hammer to knock the fan blower maybe due to fan motor brushes worn out

your resister is bad, it is located by you blower motor,it is held in by 2 1/4 bolts and will have 5 wires going to the plug,it is a cheap fix and you can do it yourself easyly

Blower fan runs high only on 2006 Ford Explorer


if you have manual control climate control then the system has a blower motor resistor . if you have automatic climate control then the system has a blower motor speed control. in eather case the part is under the dash in the heater box. depending on the system you have, buy the part and then look under the dash for like part, you will half to remove the under dash panels to be able to see. the part will be on the heater box somewhare.

The blower for my heater only seems to work on 1 speed.F350diesel


Change out the resistor for the fan motor it is next to the fan motor on a red plate in the air box

Blower motor 1995 ford explorer


if ur blower only came on the high fan speed i say it was ur blower resistor , but ur blower aint working at all so i would replace the blowerand the resistor cause they eventualy good out with when then the blower problems
