Question about 2004 Land Rover Range Rover

1 Answer

Air suspension "inactive" message appeared.

I have a 03 Range Rover with 102,000 miles on it. All of the sudden the check coolant message appeared 6 month ago and when i took to the dealer they say i must replace the radiator and they have also indicated due to the recall on the car they have to rebuild the front differential, Which they did. However, i have to pay lot of money for the new radiator. Now the air suspension "inactive" message appeared. Any one out there can tell me how i can reset this stupid thing with out paying a lot of money? I hate this car...

Before spending thousands , just check the (fuse) number 87 air suspension fuse .. You may solve the problem by 30 cents instead of 2 thousand dollars ... It happened to me recently .

My 2003 range rover is reading air suspension inactive and it will not go

Try using a scanner to read codes or re-activate, also have a look at the air suspensions bag/balloons, might have a leaky one. If so change, check air suspensions activator unit too. Valves may ber bad.

Am receiving a message on my Range Rover 2004 Inactive suspension

    Welcome to Fixya

Air suspension is currently in fault mode. It will have to be re-set by someone who has the Land Rover scantool (either a dealer or an independent shop). The EAS system is inaccessible with a regular OBDII scantool. The car will not allow you to control the suspension height (raise/lower/defeat) until the fault is cleared. Please see this link .

    Thank you for using Fixya!

I have a 2003 range rover the air suspension inactive came on

it could be from many reasons...sometimes even the ABS system will cause this fault or even the Steering position Sensor. if it comes and goes then inspect your height sensors as the early version of the height sensors are getting weak and like melting so it gives wrong reading which cause the fault...offer more info. and you'll get your solution

Hi.. i have a 2004 range rover and on the message center it tell me that the air suspension is inactive, hdc is inactive as well as selflevel air suspension is inactive... is there any way i can...

The EAS can have many different faults that will give the same warning. I have had several air susp problems. First try to disconnect the battery, wait several minutes reconnect then drive car making at least on full circle. If lights remain, air pump (under spare tire ) can be checked, also valve under a cover behind right front wheel, other than these areas, the Testbook diagnostic at dealer will determine if any other parts are source of problem. Unfortunately, with the complexity of the system many other parts Height sensors, etc, etc can also cause the error message. Good Luck.

you can try turning the ignition on and off , only to position two ond off with out starting , between 20 - 30 times this sometimes confuses modules and causes them to clear faults , if not i would recomend getting it plugged in , if vehicle is not in warranty go to landrover specialist , much cheaper!!!!!
