have you checked the pan for cracks? It sounds like you either cracked the pan, or broke the pan where it bolts up. If your a do it your selfer, get under your car and look. Clean everything with some carb cleaner really good. then go back and check for leaks.

Sounds like you knocked a hole in the transmission pan or busted a transmission line.

I HAVE A 1998 SATURN SC2 1.9 I LOOKING FOR THE TRANS MOUNT

all saturns 91-99 have the same basic engine, 4 cylinder 1.9L. the mounts 92-99 are all about the same as well. the dog bone engine mounts are at either end, one is below the battery mount and the other accessed through the service access panel behind the RF tire. there is a top mount on the top left of the engine and there is a bottom mount under the bell housing. in order to change any of them you will have to support and lift the engine somewhat in relationship to the front subframe.

I have a 1998 Saturn SC2 engine stutter.

Sounds to me like you need to change the transmission fluid the filter is under the air filter box and the drain plug is a 17mm on the bottom of the trans closest to the engine about mid ways between the car warm the car up good then drain the fluid beware the fluid will be hot the filter is like a oil filter it just unscrews fill with proper fluid do not over fill hope this helps you

Hit a pot hole now when I hit any bump hearing a thumping noise from rear to middle of truck

Check under the vehicle for a broken exhaust hanger. The muffler or exhaust component may be loose causing this noise. While your under the vehicle, inspect the transmission mount and perform a thorough visual inspection for damaged or loose parts.

1998 saturn SL2 automatic-the transmission will "jump into neutral" when I hit a bump, also the speedometer will work on and off when driving according to the bumps in the road....

check the connections under the vehicle at the transmission may be loose and needs adjustment or tightening also check the wiring and cables in area may be rubbing against [or loose] shifter linkage

Oil filter

You probably could if the threads are the same. Aside from military vehicles I have worked on, the Saturn was the first car I worked on with a spin-on trans filter. Most auto parts stores carry the transmission filter for Saturns and they are not that much more than an oil filter.

2002 saturn sl1 automatic transmission slips/leaks..

what you might be seeing is the fluid that leaked before still coming off the transmission. is the level staying steady ?

it might be slipping or you are more focused on how the transmission shifts now then you were before.

there is a product i have tried on slipping transmissions and it's made by lucas (can't remember the exact name) it basically thickens the transmission fluid to prevent slipping. according to the label it would not void the warrenty (if you have any remaining on that car).
