The cruise control is control on the 93-99 VW jettas and golfs by a computer module behind the headlight switch. Its common for these to fail. If you pull out your headlight switch you will see two square boxes, a black box, for the alarm, and a silver box for the cruise control replcae it by removing the cover under the steering wheel and unplugging the silver cruise control computer

How do i remove the sliding tray in a 2006 honda pilot to retreive some papers that got under it?

Hi, Clyde I am a Harley expert and I do not normally answer automobile questions but in your case, I will make an exception because when I was a boy I lived in England my best friends name was Clyde Winsley and I happen to own a 2004 Honda Pilot anyways to get those papers out you have to remove the center counsel but before you start this procedure I highly recommend you run down to your local auto parts store and pick up a repair manual, I like the Chilton version for $20-30. And you want us to guess at what?

Obviously you towed it to a dealer or
repair shop & will be hearing from them

Only doing some testing will give you some idea

We can only point you in some direction, if you give us
test results or something you need to know

Installing the transmission will not move close enough to bolt on to the moter

Stop. One of 3 things is happening.
If Automatic, some of the converters have a tang which interlocks into a matching slot and these must fit into each other.

If Automatic, some have different shaft spline sizes and the converter must have the same size spline opening.

If stick-shift the pilot bearing and clutch must be aligned with a Pilot tool to center the assembly.. Also if it has a slave cylinder on the clutch it may be interfering.

2003 Honda Pilot lighting problem

the driver's door has a switch which tells the multiplexer control unit that the door is open and the control unit then switches on the lights. It sounds like the switch is not making contact when the driver's door is open. The lights work and the other door switches work--so it isn't a fuse or multiplexer problem.
