Question about 1995 Volkswagen Jetta

Converting obd1 vr6 from coil packs to distributer: The old vr6 motor blew, cracked block, and messed up pistons. Got a new motor for cheap but it has a distributer instead of coil packs, i need to know if the is a way to wire it up and make it work? I didnt get the wiring harness or ecu for the new motor either.

You need the motor with same hook up.or you going to have computar problems and timing problems.

Can't figure out why my 95 pontiac trans sport SE has a miss in it. We think it's our torque converter. Can you give me any information about it?

It will have to be a spark problem,torque convertor don,t cause a miss in the motor ,check leads ,fit new plugs ,check gaps are 43 thou. Check coil or coil packs for cracks.

What cause coil packs to crack and ground out spark? just replaced them and they are already cracked and grounding out again. car is running real rough

2007 Hyundai Accent SE 1.6L Flashing check engine light and no power. Automatic transmission, car doesn't want to shift.

Injectors, compression, several engine mechanical issues ( burnt valves, weak or broken valve springs, piston rings, head gaskets, cracked block or heads ) and bad ECM drivers for injectors/coil packs can all cause engine misfires. The flashing light means possible catalytic converter damage .

Check your coil pack remove it and inspect the back of it,any sign of cracking replace it they tend to arc out inside the pack

I have a 1999 vw Golf Wolfsburg Ed. 4cyl. 2.0 It is the old body style. The car runs ok as long as it doesn't rain. When it rains car will start and idle fine but when you hit the gas it spudders no power...

You must have bad ignition wires. The high voltage electricity must be leaking out of the boot(s) and arching from the moist air surrounding the coil pack.
Use a spray bottle filled with tap water. Set the nozzle to mist and not stream, you want to have a misting effect. With the engine running, spray at the area of the spark plugs, wires and coil pack. Do this in a dark area so you can easily see if any arching is produced. Observe while spraying water if the engine starts to run rough. If it does you definitely have an electrical leak and need to repair or replace that part. Some people apply JB Weld epoxy to a cracked ignition coil pack housing, I would just replace the coil because it can cause misfiring of a cylinder and ruin your catalytic converter. For a 2.0 AEG engine it would cost about $70 for the part. If it were the ignition wires, they usually cost the same price.

could be bad fuel filter,also check the exhaust flow could be bad catalytic converter.

Will not start in cool weather.

the coil packs on these cars are notorious for cracking, start car and take a spray bottle and spray coil pack and if its faulty engine will stumble. cheap on ebay.

I have changed a few cylinder heads under warranty for this type of problem. The exhaust valve guides wear, this causes the exhaust valve to seat badly, giving low compression. if one cylinder compresion reading is more than about 50 psi below the others, then this warrants head removal. It is quite a job, due to the fact that the camshft id chain driven. If you are up for it then once the head is removed, poor liquid into the exhaust ports and see if it leaks out through any of the exhaust valves.

Blown head gasket

Well they are known to blow head gaskets and have intake gasket leaks also. If the car doesnt run it sounds like the gasket blew out between two clynders. If you have the equptment do a compresson test on all 6clynders and see if the are all about the same dont for get to remove the fuel pump relay before you start and un hook the coils
