Question about 2004 Dodge Ram 2500

1 Answer

LEFT TRAILER TURN SIGNAL NOT WORKING. TRUCK SIGNAL WORKING BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT, TRAILER RIGHT SIGNAL WORKS. FRACTORY FOUR WIRE PLUG ON TRUCK HAS NO POWER IN WIRE. CLICKING SOUND UNDER OR INSIDE FUSE BOX IN LEFT SIGNAL ON . STOPS WHEN YOU REMOVE FUSE FOR LEFT TRAILER SIGNAL. WHEN RIGHT TURN ON NO SOUNDS FROM FUSE BOX. 2004 Dodge Ram has no trailer left turn light but all others on trailer and truck work ok. No voltage on trailer jack and have traced yellow wire to plug inside left fender well after removing plastic liner. Wire then disappears into large bundle that ends up at fuse box. Now what?

1999 dodge ram 1500 trailer running lights work, right stop and turn work,Left stop and turn do not work,All light work when trailer is hooked to a differant truck.

Have same problem. All truck lights are fine. Trailer left turn/brake do not work. Trailer right turn/brake do work. All running lights work on trailer. Is there a fuse for one function (ie, left turn signal on trailer?)

I have the exact same issue. The right turn signal and breaks lights work on my trailer but not the left. There are no issues with the truck itself.

I have the same issue with my 2003 2500. Seeing some talk about the FCM which I believe to be the whole fuse panel.

I have the EXACT same problem on my '04 Ram 1500. Seems after testing that the entire fuse panel under the hood is the culprit. Had power all the way to the connector that plugs into the bottom of the fuse panel...and the fuse on the top of the panel is OK too. So the problem seems to be inside the fuse panel circuit board itself. Anybody have advice?

I have seen once before that the fuse box was bad on a 2003 Dodge 3500. I had power in and nothing out. We had to replace the box. Not cheap! Hope it is simple like a loose connection though. I think I had to pull the inner fender on the drivers side to access the bottom of the fuse box. Pain in the ****, but...

The trailer plug wiring just taps into the truck harness to the rear lights so if the truck lights work, the problem is in the wiring, not a fuse.

2003 Dodge Ram 3500 left turn signal problems / trailer

Well let me shed some light on this issue. I have the same problem. Trailer connection from truck does not have power to left turn signal and left brake light. I just got back from the dealership and $100.00 labor charge. My problem is the TIPM (Fuse Box for short) and FCM (little silver module hooked to the Fuse Box on the left hand side of the fuse box). $910.00 for the parts and Chrysler doesn't have any in stock. 4-6 weeks to maybe fill a back order. I am currently researching an alternative way to fix this issue. I will let you know.

I'd get a 12vdc test light if you don't have one already & start from plug, and keep probing back from there. It may be as simple as a bad connection under truck where joined into harness.
