Question about 2000 Dodge Durango

1 Answer

Car will NOT start in park but will start in neutral

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango R/T. I went shopping, the car drove fine, came home and parked the car for about an hour, went to start the car and it would not start. Had my cousin looked at it, he said it was the park-neutral safety switch, replaced it, my car will start in neutral but not park.

Toyota camry drove home and parked and now won't move? NO ****** ISSUES BEFORE THIS!

It will not move in Reverse either? It could be

- the shift cable has broken
- the parking lock pawl has broken
- park/neutral position switch faulty
- transmission manual valve faulty

I think one of the first 3. There isn't much you can do except have it towed to a transmission shop.
