sounds like the Radio fuse blew out, u will need to find the cuase of the short circuit or when u install the new fuse it to will blow. Check your owners manual for fuse information.

1999 Ford F250 driving down the road loud pop in dash smoke coming from radio...radio doesn't work and neither do turn signals. Fuse?

Well, the radio and the TS do not use the same fuse. Have you checked the fuse panel under the steering column to see if any fuses are open? Is the radio the original or is it aftermarket?

Have checked all fuses related to radio in 2000 stype jag.All fuses are good. GPS screen working. Stereo unit will do nothing, Suggestions please ?

If you know how, pull the radio and see if it has a seperate fuse on the back, not sure if yours has it or not, some do. My radio had to be replaced where the logic board inside the radio went band and would not turn off or on, gd luck with it hope this helped

Call your dealer and ask for procedure to unlock radio. They may need VIN and proof of ownership.

Bose radio comes on but no sound in my 2004 chevy avalanche.Sometimes even with radio off you hear a popping sound come from speakers. thanks

First Visually check all your fuses. Does rig have amp for stereo by any chance? It sounds like amp is bad and/or fuse is blown. Amp is wired between radio and speakers, and a shorted amp would make crackling in speakers when radio is OFF

The radio in my 2000 beetle will not turn on. i can't seem to find the proper fuse in the in cabin fuse panel. is the a backup fuse under the hood?

hi,
there should be 2 fuses directly relating to the radio.
first is a 25 amp fuse for audio system, fuse box on drivers side of dash, number 42.
second is a 10 amp fuse directly in the back of the radio, which you'll need pins to remove.

I am in the middle of replacing my radio with a newer one in my 94 jeep cherokee and one of the wires touch another one and sparked and now neither of radios work when i hook them up

Check your radio fuse.. if it is ok, and the radio does turn on and you have no sound, chances are you either popped your "amp" fuse or worse, popped your factory amp.. let me know what exactly is or isn't working right now.. but make sure you check your fuses...
