This time it is a noise coming from the front nearside wheel arch area, more like a creak than a squeak, which is only apparent on rough or uneven road surfaces. I don't think it is suspension or

I have a late 2011 Holden Captiva LX7 AUTO 3.0 PETROL. WHEN TURNING IT FEELS LIKE IT IS ON A VERY ROUGH ROAD

Hi Ray This needs to be diagnosed properly I can suggest a couple of things but strongly advise a Holden Dealer. The squeal i would say is the serp belt slipping. What may need replacing is the alternator pulley, serp belt and tensioner. The feeling you get when turning may be as simple as the front wheels either rubbing on a distorted or loose mud flap or an under arch cover, there is one either side which are like felt covers these over time also come loose or distort and touch the tyres when turning. The other more involved issue are the front lower arms they have a very large rubber bush fitted at the back of the arm they perish over time and road noise and shudder can sometimes be felt at steering wheel. As I mentioned I would check around the front wheel arches and strongly advise a Holden Dealer for the rest. Good luck

I have a strange sound that sounds like im running on a flat tyre coming from my front nearside wheel arch. There are no obvious issues with the drive gear or suspension and the tracking has just been

Does the noise only occur at or above a specific speed? I'm hoping for your sake that one of the plastic fender liners or under carriage covers have come loose and are flapping in the wind or against the wheel when you pick up speed? If a tight turn instigates it then my thinking is that the dislodged cover is caught by the wheel at full turn (the clunk) and then flaps and rubs while you drive?

Creaking sound

If it is really cold then the rubber insulators that are between the sub-frame and the body may be a bit loose and allowing movement. It may be worn / hard suspension rubbers squeaking under acceleration. Check the whole of the front of the car looking for rusted areas in the body and sub-frame that may be allowing body movement where there should be none.

Loud noise burning smell

Most likely a belt problem or a worn out tensioner. You left off the year, make, model and engine so it's a guessing gamet. Read this post on how to track down the source of noise

Knocking noise around the front passenger wheel area!?

Do you feel it in the steering wheel? if so it could be the intermediate steering shaft. If not it could be a sway bar link or bushing.

When i turn the steering wheel to the right get lots of creaking noise coming from the wheel arch (front o/s) Mercedes W215

There are bearings on top of the strut. this is probably your noise. It's not hard to remove the strut, three nuts on top and two bolts on bottom, but you will need a coil spring depressor to remove the bearing plate at the top of the strut.

Creaking noise in front end 1997 explorer

Sounds like it is your CV axles.  Turn the wheel one direction, right or left, and check just behind the wheels to see if your CV boot is cracked or ripped (the boot is a black, rubber accordion looking thing).  If it is cracked or ripped, I would say that is definitely the problem.
