Question about 1998 Audi Cabriolet
I have a problem with my Audi 80 Cabriolet 1996. I have a fault with my manual soft top. I have a t bar function which I have to turn in order for the roof to unlock and the windows should drop slightly automatically. This function does not work and is also connected to the window switch located on the centre console near the handbrake which allows all the windows to open at the same time. I noticed that a fuse in the fuse box keeps on blowing that is linked to this function. Have you any idea why this fuse is blowing?
Make sure the car is on level ground. I had the same problem several times. Finally figured out in talking with the Audi service adivsor that if the car is on a hill (like my driveway) internal sensors can't tell the position of the top so it stops.
The owners manual has procedures for manually closing/locking the top.
