    No mileage readout, no speedo, no oil pressure, no temp, no cruise, all have stopped working!

    Intermittently my 1993 GMC 2500 transmission slips and the speedometer goes to zero. Is total transmission failure next? Or is there a fix? Mel

There was not a recall, but there was a class action settlement where GM agreed to extend the warranty on certain vehicles for this problem. Check www.gmspeedometerrecall.com to see if you qualify.

Take it to GM dealer, there is a warranty recall on this issue. Ask to make sure you are covered before authorizing work, there are some qualifications.

2003 gmc 2500 hd..horn doesn't work

The horn pad is made of vinyl which contracts through the four seasons causing this problem for some. Remove the horn pad with the battery disconnected first of all. Use a jumper wire to see if the horn works. If id does check the horn relay next. If ok hot wire the horn direct. One should be your problem or it is a broken wire instead

Can I change my tires to a 265 R16 size, the actual original size of my GMC 2500 Sierra HD tires are 245 R16. My pick up have 6.6 diesel engine with an allison 6 speed transmition, and 2 x 4 configuration.

1st number is tread width (mm)265
r =speed rating
2nd is wheel size, in inches 16
the rule of thumb re tread width, is the tread should not exceed the inner wheel width,measured inside the wheel/tyre sealing area by more then 20mm.
otherwise car will tend to sway when steered for moose test.so check your wheels first...
r rating only good upto 100 mph intermitently...
