Sulfur smell is excess fuel getting burned in the cat. convertor.

The o2 sensor itself may be bad... causing the ECM to get bad readings and send extra fuel that isnt burned during ignition.

Check the engine codes with an OBD reader, (even if the CEL is not lit) because the bulb may be out or missing.

If you get codes, ask the parts store or re-post here, and I can help you further.

Bank 2 on a front wheel drive is the back bank. On a rear wheel drive it is the passenger side bank. Sensor 1 is located in or just after the exhaust manifold. Sensor 2 is downstream past the catalytic converter.

Cylinder order

The firing order on all four cylinder engines is 1.3.4.2. and number one cylinder is at the opposite end of the engine to the gearbox, at the end with the belts and pulleys.
