First thing is to chk. fuse. If fuse is ok than there is 2 other things that could be bad, like the motor burnt up, did you smell anything when it did run? Like wires burning? If you did than the motor needs replaced. If not than its the heater motor resister thats bad and needs replaced, the resister controls the motor speeds and makes the heater motor run too.

otad doesn't help ---did the trans come out of an 05 astro van s-10 blazer /jimmy s-15 or safari and it your awd because you need to match the rwd with an rwd and a awd with an awd /4wd from above and the unit has to be compatible with the 05

Its a connector under the hood behind the antifreeze and winshield washer bottles. You'll have to remove them to replace the plug. The dealer will have a replacement that you can splice in.

1997 chevy astro heater motor not running on heigh speed


Remove the reservoirs for washer fluid and coolant, unclip the electrical connector that plugs into the heater motor resistor. Check all the terminals at the plug end for heat damage or corrosion. If it runs on lower settings, your resistor pack is not likely a problem, and it's most likely a poor connection in the system. I've had a wire burn behind the switch in the dash as well as a heat damaged contact on the big plug into the resistor pack. All the vans in the junk yard show the same problems too...

Chk. all fuses, there is a fuse for injectors, If no spark at plugs chk ignition fuse and switch, and chk. fuse for e.c.m. Can't help with diagram. Parts dept. chevy dealer will print you one out.

It is located where the big hose comming out of your radiator connects to top of engine. Remove hose from engine your thermostat is undernieth

transmissions can be rebuilt if you have the time you can buy a rebuild kit and guide and do it yourself
