G.M. mech. for 25 yrs. but no exp. on mitsubishi. need to replace inner tie rod ends on 2002-2003 lancer for my new daughter-in-law. you know the story 300-400 dollars in shops, no money, help me dad!
-   I need to also replace the inner tie rods. I wanna try to do it myself.. and I ran into your post. The closest I ever got changing was that I jacked the car up and was puzzled on how to remove the clip from the boot, dont know if the new part comes with the boot and the clip.

I have an 02 Mits. Lancer w/ a manual trans. Whenever I try to put it in any gear there's a lot of resistance. I pretty much have to use two hands and even then it's tough. Could this be a fluid problem or maybe the clutch?

fuel pump inop on 2002 mitsubishi lancer ozzy edition non turbo 5spd. I checked fuse #8 and 10 both are good. No power coming from fuel pump relay2 at bulk head connector . I have disconnected connector at fuse box and applied 12 volts to red wire and pump runs and starts car, so one can assume the problem lies ahead of the connector. When car is in start position I can feel relay 2 click as if it turned on. I cant get to the wiring at the back of the fuse box to verify voltage right behind relay. I must be getting some sort of voltage drop inside the fuse box. Have you come across this before? The wires are not visible nor are there any markings on the relay or fuse box as to what wires are going where. My diagram from Mitchell lists the out going wires and where they go but are not numbered to correspond with the car.
