- Well what had happened was ,I changed my oil and filter. The new oil was so clean that I did not see exactly if there was enough oil.So I drove about 100 miles and started to lose power,I pulled over and checked the dip stick and it showed very low oil level.Fortunately I did have some oil in my boot,I added it and the problem cleared right up.Then I drove about 150 miles and it happened all over again, losing power and low oil.I added some more oil and made it home,I looked under the bonnet and saw oil stains on my oil pan looking like they were coming from the oil pan gasket.Perhaps not having enough oil the first time caused the engine to heat up too much destroying the integrity of the gasket?

Key imobiliser light not going out. Had a problem this morning, light would not go out then after trying few more times it worked again. I parked up this afternoon and same thing happened again but would not start. I do have two keys but the problem same with both. I was towed down the road with ignition on and put into gear to slow down and it started, when I turned it off again it would not start. Is this a problem I can solve? I am a mechanic and have tried disconecting battery and reconnecting but no such luck. Many thanks Clive
