Question about 1994 Pontiac Bonneville

1 Answer

Have a 2000 Buick,LESaber very low miles and it quits for no reason. Had it to two Buick shops and no help. Is this common for this car? Stops for no reason anytime when not expected. Will restart. Seems to happen when motor is warm.

Hello, it seems you have a problem with you buick cutting off. I will bett it even starts right back up.If so you will need to have the crankshaft sensor replaced, behind the crankshaft. You will probably want to let a dealer tackle that job, as it is somewhat difficult to replace.

Your low on anti-freeze . The noise you here is the air and water in the system when you turn on your heater from the cool setting .. Buy some blue antifreeze rated for BMW or Mercedes. It wont harm internal parts.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

You may have problem with the injector relay. If it's faulty it won't spray fuel, one good reason why it won't run. I suggest that you check the injector relay and replace it.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

2000 LeSaber runs for a while then jerks once or twice, then wants to stall. If it does stall starts right up again. It will do it again before I go the 5 miles home. And the check eng. light does not come...

Had a similiar problem with a 1998 3800 V-6...the problem was the crank position sensor...The harmonic balancer usually needs to be pulled to switch out this sensor...located slightly behind the fly-wheel...part is about $35...Nice car, and it sounds like you know what you are doing...:)

I have a 1994 buick lesaber limited my fan won't turn off

It is normal for the fan to run a couple of minutes after the engine stops running. If it still runs it could be a bad thermostatic switch.
