Approx. $50-$60. & yes you need it. It monitors your exhaust & fuel in it, to help computer adjust engine for best running condition/best fuel mileage etc.

O2 Sensor defect

MR988905 costs $300+

SNG O2 sensor is just below $100

they may claim being made with the same quality and both are tagged "direct fit" for easy installation.

its just my idea, good luck.

Check engine code P01170 feedback A/F Mixture Control (Ho2S11)-cost estimate for shop to fix?

Oxygen Sensor (Bank #1 Sensor #1)

Buy from Rock Auto.Com & replace

Do not need to pay a repair shop for a 20 min
easy job.

O2 Sensors get replaced at 100,000 miles,
that way you don't have the issue you got

Has to be replaced if you want control over
injector timing & decent performance

Can't go thru inspection with a check light on

I have a 2001 Mitubishi eclipse GT. It Failed emmissions with 2 codes, because they said one piston is not firing properly as well as an 02 sensor needs to be replaced. The car has been sitting for a year...

if the o2 sensor is bad this will throw multipal codes when its really only one prob. start with replaceing the o2 sensor first. their is and up stream and a down stream sensors in the exhaust system
you un plug them and thay just unscrew out and scerew the new ones in now thay make an o2 sensor socket you can buy at any parts store for about 15.00. and the sensor can be quet exspensive. now as for haveing a shop do this will run about 120.00 for labor plus cost of parts.
you can e-mail your number and i will call you if you need more help.

How do I find out which O2 sensor needs replacing?

USUALLY IT IS THE UPSTREAM SENSOR THAT IS MOST IMPORTANT ..TRY THAT ONE FIRST..ITS LIKE CHANGING A SPARK PLUG...PROBABLY IN THE 25$ RANGE..TO DO IT YOURSELF THAT IS..

I fix my camshaft sensor cost $548.00 at dealer they said that po133 code (oxgen sensor) need to be replaced but that code did not pull up on my scanner only p1309 what should i do?

The code po133 means o2 sensor checked slow (response 1/1). You will need to replace the o2 sensor to correct the problem. You can purchase the o2 sensor yourself and replace it at home. It's no big problem in doing it yourself unless you want to take it back to the dealer. Hope this will help.

How do you check the O2 sensor

hi, the only way to really check the o2 sensor is buy removing it then running power through it but this can damage it further.
The most common thing you will notice if the lambda sensor (oxygen sensor) when the car starts from cold and if it runs ok when you run the car upto temperature if when its hot the engine doesnt run correc then this is usually proof the o2 sensor needs replacing.

What makes you think the o2 sensor is gone and are you going on about the lambda sensor in the exhaust if not then im sorry but let me know then i can assist you further ok

O2 Sensor replacement

On Honda Accord the O2 sensor is located either on the exhaust manifold near to the front or side of the manifold, or in the manifold rear side, depending if it is a four or six cylinders model.

To give an idea of the job, check this website showing the procedure on a different car:

How to Replace an Oxygen Sensor -

To find step by step for your car, I suggest buying the Haynes manual.

To order the part you can use the website below, or buy it at a local car parts shop.
