gm was "famous" for putting their passlock system in their vehicles. although it is a known issue they refuse to do a recall or anything else to remedy the situation. you can try leaving the key on like suggested. what i did with mine was continuously turned the key on and off. after a couple minutes of doing so the antitheft system reset and my car started right up
If you are trying to put the rods back in and got them messed up, then , Standing on the passenger side of the car, the left side of the engine is long, short, long, short, short, long front to back. the right side is long , short, short, long ,short, long Front to back. Hope this helps.
If it only happens when braking, then it is definately you brake system. Most likely you rotors and pads need replacement. If you can do car work, then this is not a difficult job, but requires some wrenches. The parts can be purchased a lot cheaper on-line. A shop will get you for $300-$800. I bought all my parts for my 2001 VW passat for $200 shipped to my door. Good Luck.
sounds like you have a wheel hub out causing the lights to come on. odds are it would be the front left. it's not sensing right causing the traction control to be turned on. or it could be a loose wire for that hub. gm cars has had a problem with these two issues.
