SOURCE: ABS light stays on

that has four wheel anti lock so your gonna need to either take all them off and clean ends it may correct the problem but more than likely your gonna have to take to a large shop that has abs computer to find which sensor is bad then correct the problem

SOURCE: I have a 2000 nissan truck . And today my ABS

Hey there..my name is Keith..and you have 2 problems..from my expierence..your brake light problem is usually caused by the switch either bad or loose on the back side of your brake pedal..and your ABS light is uaually caused by a bad sensor in your brakink system that needs to be checked out by a shop..unless you are able to troubleshoot and figure out which sensor is at fault..i hope i helped..if not feel free to write back

SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Maxima ABS light stays on, what do I

you need to run a scan to see what is wrong. it could be a wheel sensor or the abs pump. This is a realatively new vehicle and i would think something is blocking a wheel sensor from reporting info to the computer. some times things build up around the sensor and block it. or if there has been a recent accident one could be damaged and the shop didn't catch it. these parts really dont fail this quick look for something else. remove the wheels and look for a ring with a lot of teeth on the back side of the assembly. follow an electrical wire it will take you to the sensor which will be next to a ring with many teeth. The sensor recognizes the teeth moving and reports to the computer when they stop moving and that is when the abs starts pulsing the brakes for that wheel. if something gets in the way the sensor sees nothing and the light comes on. if this helps please reply cause that helps me keep answering here and good luck

The brake light on dash stays on my 2002 maxima. Brakes and fluid is fine. Got any ideas?

The brake pads may be worn and causing the light to be on. Other than that it will need to go in to the dealership or a reputable shop as it takes special equipment to diagnose an ABS brake system. Please rate this answer, thanks.

Went through car wash and after the abs light went off so i thought got some mouisture some were but when you get out of truck the break lights stay on?its a 97 nissan pick up 2wd automatic

there is a plastic button that the brake light switch pushes against when the pedel is NOT being pressed . If it has falling out there is nothing to press on the switch in which case the brake lights would stay on also is one of the signals the abs uses

Anti-lock light comes on along with the break warning light, fluid level good no softening on the break pedel...no identifiable difference in performance but the lights remain on.

ABS ligth coming on for no reason is usually dirty sensors on one of the wheels. can often happen after driving through mud etc, Also the serrated disc which the sensor looks at on the hub can get clogged up causing same problem. brakes will still work ok but you will have no ABS function. I have had limited success with this (very common) problem by pressure washing the wheels and hubs. failing that its a case of wheels off and cleaning it all up by hand. Another cause can be bad connection, cracked/trapped sensor wire. Difficult to tell which wheel its on though.

I have a 2002 Maxima 6 Speed Manual Trans. Under Heavy Acceleration the check engine light blinks several times and then goes off and stays off during normal driving. The light seems to come on as I hit...

U have an ignition related problem, have the system tested for the trouble code that is stored in memory any time the check engine light comes on to determine what is causing this issue. check engine lights have nothing to do with oil level or pressure, they indicate electronic control problems with the engine, trans or emission system.

My brakes pedel trembles

For some reason the abs is applying itself prematurely. This could be happening for several reason
1. bad abs sensors (4) one in each wheel
2. bad axle (if axle was replace make sure that its a abs axle).
3.Bad abs Unit or abs computer.
Have the vehicle put on scanner and check for fault code. Auto-Zone does this check for free then you can take it from there.

ABS PANAL LIGHT & EMERGENCY BREAK PANAL LIGHT ON.

your is mostlikly on because there are 4 sensors on each axle that read wheel speed, when one malfunctions it sends a signal to the ecm to throw that light, the brake light is probably due to the tention of your ebrake, if it engages right when you start pulling it up then the lever does not go high enough to let the plunger out of the sensor attatched to the ebrake lever, or that sensor could have gotten broken or stuck also, i would adjust your pedel down by the lever should see a sensor that can be unscrewed and backed up then retightend back down, or you may have to adjust your break. the abs should be able to be taken to a autopart store and they can hook it up to a codereader for free and let you know which one is malfunctioning or if it is the entire abs unit since there is a computer that goes to them all though the sensors are out to the elements and usually always mess up down the road from heat and watter, hope that answered all your q's, if it did throw me some blue take care gal
