probably forgot to reinstall camshaft sensor which located on timing cover or forgot to reconnect camshaft sensor because crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor work together to control fuel timing and spark timing.make sure ignition coil getting 12 volts.

I changed the crank shaft sensor but the car still wont start what else could be wrong if that was what the diagnostic said was wrong?

a bad camshaft sensor will cause a no start also. Engine Sputtering, Poor Acceleration, Stalling/Inability to Start. At low speeds a bad camshaft sensor will cause the car's engine to stall. The engine may also experience an inability to turn over, resulting in the car not starting. This may not happen all the time since the car's on-board computer will use the last readouts from the camshaft sensor to operate the pistons and manage fuel flow, which will allow the car to start; but if camshsft sensor. check engine light will be on, if its really bad.

sounds to me like either a faulty fuel pump or clogged fuel filter and or a bad crankshaft postion sensor or camshaft postion sensor the crank sensor is usally under the harmonic balancer pully cam mounted right to heads

2001 Beetle..Ignition coil has to be replaced every 30 days or so..what could be causing this to happen?

Do you have DTC P0300 which is a misfire? If you do and you have replaced the coil pack several times you may have other problems which causes it to misfire. Bad injectors, bad fuel pump, bad camshaft position sensor, bad fuel pump relay and low on fuel can cause a misfire. The cylinder that has bad fuel delivery will cause a DTC thinking it's a misfire. The same thing goes with a bad camshaft position sensor.
