Re: passenger door won't open
Most common problem with replacing door handles on these is that you will encounter allignment probs for main catch which this sounds like. if you attempt to open from the inside then try putting lots of pressure on it till it should give way. once you acvhieve this, try looking at the very end of the door with the catch on. if you take a key and roll the latch till it locks and lake sure it is not too far into the mechanism, dont worry simply pulling door handle will disengage it, but once it is shut like this it is extremely difficult to undo.

lube the latch up... go to the passengers side and examine the latch... you could use a screwdriver and OPEN the latch on the drivers' door by pulling the door handle and prying the latch to the open possition... and try to close it ... repeate.
I have recently experienced this same problem. I know this may sound funny, but you could try pulling on the outside door handle (of the passenger) side while it's open. Often times doing this will help the "gadgets" inside your door to reset and it will open/close just fine after that. I would definitely suggest this before taking your car in to be looked at.
Door latch on door itself is in closed position if it will not close at all. In this case, open door and pull outside handle hard to pop open door latch. If you have door opening at random, door latch needs replacing or door catch on body is loose.
the door handle is either broke or a part of it has slipped loose, either way, you'll have to remove the inner door panel to get to it, this is not difficult, a few screws and the panel is retained by push in type plugs that can be pryed loose. the entire door latch assy is held in by screws and is serviced by replacement, the difficulty come with very tight area to work in, and is irritating and time consuming, if you are not good with tools i'd suggest a good mechanic or body shop. always get a quote!!
THE DOOR CATCH HAS A DOUBLE "C" THAT HOLDS THE DOOR CLOSED. FIRST TAKE A SCREWDRIVER INSIDE THE "C". USING THE HANDLE ON THE INSIDE, PULL THE HANDLE AS IF YOU WERE OPENING THE DOOR AND AT THE SAME TIME, OPEN THE DOUBLE "C" WITH THE SCREWDRIVER. I HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
ok. first u remove the door panel(s), with the window rolled up, u will be able to see the back side of the exterior door handle. there will be three bolts, they are size 10metric. there is also a rod attached to the handle held in place by a plastic clip, remove the rod, then remove the three bolts. from the outside remove the exterior door handle being careful not to scratch painted surface. Repeat for the other door(s). Repeat this for installation.
you will have to take the panel off to see why the inner lock/activator isnt working properly, besides youll have to take it off to fix it anyway.Maybe as simple as a bent handle to lock rod being bent and no longer long enough to activate lock correctly.youll just have to look and see.Let me know what you find
